MTTC is registered with the Construction, Education and Training Authority (CETA) and offers training services in line with the requirements laid down by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
MTTC is accredited by the Manpower Training Act 1981 through the Civil Engineering Industry Training Board to conduct training for the Civil Engineering Industry for Laboratory Materials Testers – Road Materials (Accreditation no.01: Government Gazette No.: 13397 of 12/07/1991).
Training laboratory personnel at their place of work during continuous laboratory operations, MTTC offers reduced personnel absence and costs for training.
MTTC recognises the fact that laboratory personnel play an important role in the civil engineering and related industries. The accurate testing of materials is an essential part of the design and control of any constructed infrastructure and assures that the infrastructure meets the design criteria. The training of Materials Testers by a formalised scheme is of prime importance to ensure that high standards are maintained in the testing of materials in the Civil Engineering Industry, and that the persons are afforded recognition, status and career stability.

Qualification courses
MTTC specialises in the facilitation of class room training of the testing unit standards of the NQF level 2 and NQF level 4 National Certificates Construction Materials Testing qualifications.
